Introducing The EveryDay K9 Community: The Next Chapter of The EveryDay K9
For the past several weeks, we’ve taken you through The Three C’s of Dog Training: Communication, Consistency, and Collaboration. We’ve shared a lot throughout this series, including lessons that have taken nearly 14 years of working with dogs and their owners to learn. But we’ve also been hinting that this series was leading somewhere.
Today, we can finally tell you where.
We are incredibly excited to introduce The EveryDay K9 Community, powered by Mighty Networks.
On October 4th, we will begin rolling out access to our first group of clients, and this is something we have been working incredibly hard on behind the scenes. This isn't simply another app we're asking our clients to download. It is a major investment in what we believe the client experience at The EveryDay K9 should look like, both while your dog is with us and for years after they go home.
From the beginning, we have wanted The EveryDay K9 to feel like more than a place where you drop your dog off for training or boarding. We want you to feel involved in your dog's experience while they're here, educated throughout the training process, supported when they go home, and connected to a community of people who care about their dogs as much as you do.
Mighty Networks is giving us the ability to bring all of that together in one place.
MORE ACCESS TO THE EVERYDAY K9 TEAM
As we've grown, one thing has been extremely important to us: growth cannot come at the expense of relationships.
We never want The EveryDay K9 to become a company where you train with us, complete your program, and become a name buried somewhere in an old client list.
We want our community to give our clients another way to remain connected to us and another way for us to remain connected to you.
Our team will be able to share information, answer questions, start discussions, provide education, celebrate your progress, and show you more of what happens behind the scenes at TEDK9.
And importantly, some conversations can now help more than one person.
A question asked by one owner may be something 20 other people were wondering too. A trainer's answer doesn't have to disappear inside a private text conversation. It can become a discussion that helps an entire group of dog owners learn together.
That's a completely different kind of relationship than the traditional trainer-client model, and it's exactly the direction we've wanted The EveryDay K9 to go.
WHY MIGHTY NETWORKS?
As The EveryDay K9 has grown, so has the amount of information, education, communication, and content we provide to our clients. We send training updates and videos. We have online education. We write blogs. We answer follow-up questions. We share resources. We communicate about boarding stays. We host events. We create educational content. And we continue relationships with many of our clients for years after their original training program ends.
The problem is that all of those things have traditionally lived in different places.
A training video might be buried in a text thread. An important resource might live in an old email. Educational content may be somewhere else entirely. A great conversation happens between one client and one trainer, even though dozens of other dog owners could benefit from hearing the same information.
We wanted to change that.
Mighty Networks allows us to create a private home for The EveryDay K9 where our clients can access education, follow what's happening with their dogs, communicate with our team, participate in conversations, find resources, learn from other owners, stay informed about events, and continue being part of TEDK9 long after formal training ends.
Instead of having pieces of The EveryDay K9 scattered across different platforms, we are creating one central community built specifically around our clients and their dogs.
And this is only the beginning of what we plan to build inside it.
WHAT WILL IT DO FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG?
One of the areas we are most excited about is how Mighty Networks will improve the experience when your dog is physically staying with us.
We understand how strange it can feel to leave your dog for a Board & Train or boarding stay. You go from seeing them every day to trusting someone else with their care, routine, training, and well-being. We have always worked hard to make that experience feel different at The EveryDay K9 by sending updates, sharing videos, communicating honestly, and helping owners feel connected to what's happening while their dog is away.
Now we have the opportunity to take that experience much further.
Instead of your dog's updates simply becoming another series of messages buried in your phone, The EveryDay K9 Community can become a place where you follow their experience with us. For training clients, that means being able to see what we're working on, watch their progress, learn the concepts we're teaching, and begin educating yourself before your dog ever comes home.
That last part is huge.
We have always said that dog training is 50% training the dog and 50% educating the owner. While your dog is here learning, we want you learning too.
Our goal is that by the time we hand you the leash, you aren't being introduced to everything for the first time. You've already been following the process. You've seen the training. You've had access to education. You understand more about why we're doing what we're doing.
For our boarding clients, we want the community to make being away from your dog feel a little less like being away from your dog. You'll be able to stay connected to what is happening here, see more of the dogs and our day-to-day life, and remain part of the environment your dog is spending time in.
We want dropping your dog off at The EveryDay K9 to feel less like handing them over to a business and more like leaving them with a community you already know.
EDUCATION THAT DOESN'T END AT THE GO-HOME LESSON
This may be one of the most important reasons we made this investment.
A dog's training journey doesn't end because their Board & Train ended or because they completed their final lesson. In many ways, that's when the most important part begins.
You go home. Real life happens. Your routines change. Your dog matures. You travel. You move. You have children. You add another dog to the family. Something you haven't dealt with before suddenly comes up. Or maybe six months later you simply think, Wait... how did they tell me to handle this again?
We don't believe your only options should be searching the internet or waiting until a problem becomes large enough that you feel like you need another training program.
Inside The EveryDay K9 Community, we have the ability to continue building an educational library that grows with our clients. Training videos, troubleshooting, discussions, demonstrations, frequently asked questions, deeper dives into dog behavior and psychology, live conversations, and new educational content can all have a permanent home.
And unlike a static online course that we create once and leave alone, this community can evolve.
If we notice ten owners asking us the same question, we can create something about it.
If we see a common issue during go-home lessons, we can teach it.
If something comes up in the dog world that we think our clients should understand, we can talk about it.
The questions our community asks can actually help shape the education we create next.
That's something we're incredibly excited about.
HOW WILL IT BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY?
The word community is important here.
We could have simply built a larger library of training videos and called it a day. But that's not what we wanted.
The EveryDay K9 Community isn't supposed to be another website where we upload information and you consume it. We want it to become a place where people actually participate.
Over the years, we've worked with thousands of dog owners, and one of the things we've learned is that people often feel like they're the only ones struggling with whatever they're going through.
They're not.
Somebody else has raised the crazy puppy.
Someone else has struggled through difficult walks with a reactive dog.
Someone else has introduced a new dog into the household.
Someone else has worked through crate training, confidence issues, household boundaries, or the transition home after a Board & Train.
Someone else has had an amazing breakthrough and discovered something worth celebrating.
There is enormous value in being able to learn from professionals, but there is also something incredibly powerful about being surrounded by other owners who are actively trying to become better for their dogs.
We want clients asking questions. We want people sharing wins. We want conversations. We want you to see someone else's post and realize, Oh my gosh, my dog does that too.
We want to host live conversations and educational events. We want to share what's happening at TEDK9. We want to introduce new resources. We want to talk about dogs. We want to celebrate them.
And yes, we also want plenty of pictures, funny stories, and the everyday moments that have absolutely nothing to do with formal dog training.
Because dogs are supposed to be fun too.
A COMMUNITY THAT WILL KEEP GROWING WITH US
We want to be very clear about something when we launch on October 4th:
This is version one.
We have spent a tremendous amount of time building the foundation, but we don't want to decide everything this community becomes before our clients ever get inside.
We want you to help shape it.

What resources would you actually use?
What events would you attend?
What would make you open The EveryDay K9 Community even when you don't have a dog actively staying or training with us?
Those answers matter because we're not building this for ourselves.
We're building it for you.
As our community grows, we expect the platform to grow with it. There will be more education. More conversations. More resources. More events. More ways to participate. More opportunities to connect with our trainers and with one another.
We have a lot planned, but some of what this becomes hasn't even been thought of yet.
And we love that.
THE THREE C’S FINALLY HAVE A HOME
Looking back at this series now, Communication, Consistency, and Collaboration almost feel like they were always leading here.
Communication is creating a better way for our clients and our team to stay connected and understand one another.
Consistency is making education and support available beyond a single lesson, training program, or conversation.
Collaboration is bringing trainers, owners, families, and a community of dog lovers together so we can all learn from one another.
For almost 14 years, we've been learning how to train dogs and, just as importantly, how to educate the people who love them.
When we created The EveryDay K9, we had the opportunity to take those years of experience and start building the kind of dog training company we wished existed.
Now we're taking another major step toward what we've always envisioned it becoming.
Not simply a dog training company.
Not simply a place your dog stays when you travel.
Not simply a trainer you call when there's a problem.
A community.
A place where you can leave your dog and still feel connected.
A place where you can learn alongside them.
A place where you can come back months or years later and continue learning.
A place where you can ask questions.
A place where you can help someone else.
A place where we can continue being part of your dog's life long after we hand the leash back to you.
On October 4th, we will officially launch The EveryDay K9 Community, powered by Mighty Networks! We will begin welcoming our first group of clients that day, and all clients will receive their invitations within 72 hours of the launch. Keep an eye out for yours. We can't wait to welcome you inside and show you everything we've been working on!
And from there, we're just getting started.
